Christmas is only 9 days away. I love Christmas time. I have Christmas music on all the time. McNeil thinks I am obsessed. He thinks I listen to way to much and that the Christmas movies from my childhood are lame. I guess they are kind of corny. But they remind of good times with my family. I love to watch them and think of days gone by. Man I sound old! I am excited for Brenda's first Christmas. She has no idea what is coming but it is still going to be fun watching her try to unwrap gifts. It is practice for her birthday coming up in January. Waaaah! I can't believe that she is turning one already. It has been a quick year.

I just want to say Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year!

Remember to reason for the season!!

Well she is off. Brenda has reached her next mile stone. WALKING! It is so fun to watch her learn and hard at the same time. I do not want her to grow up so fast. She is also learning the art of tantrum throwing. Now that is something I could do without. She is happy most of the time but man take something a way that she wants and look out. The little angel quickly turns to not quite an angel. I sure do love my kids. They are both awesome. McNeil is so loving towards his sister. I love to watch him play with her. He is pretty good at putting her to sleep also. Thanks Mac!

Christmas is fast approaching and I have not started to shop. I am waiting for Bonus time. I hope everyone has a good Christmas Season. I know things are tough all over for lots of people. I know if we stop and think about why we have this holiday it will be a lot happier and easier to get through. It is all about The Love.

Merry Christmas to all those I love and everyone else too!

Well we survived the chicken pox. With her thin hair and her pox Brenda looks like someone from one of nuclear bomb movies. She is now just one big scab. She is felling much better and is starting to sleep again. Hooray!! Thank you to my mom for all of her help this week. I would not have survived without her. She came over almost daily to help her sleep deprived daughter. She is so awesome! Love ya mom!

The football party is finished and all went well. No more football until next year. I thought this week would be easier but the kids I tend will be coming at 4:30 am everyday this week. So much for catching up on sleep. Oh well, I am just glad my baby is feeling better.

Love to all who help me through life.

My Baby woke up this morning with the chickenpox. How that happened we do not know. She has not come in direct contact with anyone that has had them that I know of. I guess she won't have to get her shot in January. I feel so bad for her. She does seem to be doing okay. The only one she will not leave alone is the one on her eye. They make me itchy! Those lovely childhood diseases. It has only just began!

You got to love that lovely pink calomine lotion!

I survived watching Brenda learn to crawl it was a sad day but we got through it. But now she is begining to stand up in the middle of the floor and can also climb up the stairs from the laundry room to the family room. That is a long way. Wahhh! She is changing way to fast. She loves it. Everytime she does something new she just looks at you and grins as if to say ha ha! She is so dang cute.

Saturday we went with Audrey, Jennie, Becky and family to the Young Living Farm. Some kind of fall festival. It was fun. It really hit me that McNeil is becoming a teenager. Wow I could have left him in the car and he would have had just as much fun. It was fun to spend time with everyone though. I did get to take some cute pictures of McNeil and Brenda by this little stream. I will try to down load one if I can.

I have to say I am very excited to write this, "The football season is over!" The team was 0 and 6 but they learned a lot and had a good time for the most part. They went to the playoffs because there were only four teams. They lost their game but it was the best game they had al season. They held the other team to one touchdown. They played hard and McNeil had 11 tackles. He did Awesome and his foot is still in one piece. It was fun for Kaleb, Colton, and Mac to play on the same team. The only thing left is the Pro-Bowl and then we will never have to deal with the NYFL again. Next year we will be in a different league. It was fun to watch the boys learn and progress. They got started as a team about a month after the other teams so they did not get near as much practice time with each other. But they did well considering.

I just got onto facebook and I am not really sure what I am supposed to do there. But I guess I can send messages to people. I wish I was more computer savvy. I am slowly learning. It would help if our pc was not slower than tar.

Looking forward to winter at least for now. I know I will get sick of it quickly but I can't wait for the snow to cover up my brown grass and kill my weeds. It is always nice to start with fresh green weeds in the spring.

Love to all who read this.

P.S. I am sure glad that Kaitlyn and Kincade are ok!

Howdy from the land of Spanish Fork. Where the grass is turning brown and the yard is taking a turn for the worst. We were doing so well on the yard. Our neighbors were so HAPPY! The sod we put in did great on the north side of the yard. The south side not so much. I don't know why that side of the yard will not cooperate and grow. Well better luck next year. I have been very busy lately. I started babysitting again. Even though I said never again. It has nothing to do with liking children. I love kids! But it sure does tie you down. I feel bad having to divide my attention between the kids I tend and my sweet Brenda. But I guess it is an easy way to make some extra money! So I stopped ignoring those not so subtle promptings (as much as I wanted to) and decided to give it another go. There is one major draw back, 4:30 and 5:30am comes awfully early. But we are surviving.

I spent 2 or 3 days a couple weeks ago with Melisa and Heather at my mom's canning salsa. We ended up with 130 something pints/quarts. Then this week Heather, my mom, and myself canned 66 quarts of tomatoes and my mom and I did Grape jelly that decided it really wanted to be syrup instead. It sure is good with waffles and vanilla icecream.

It all took some work and time, but I love working and being with my mom and sister-in-laws. We can sometimes get very silly but it is great. I am so greatful for them and the love and support we give to one another. They are awesome. I am very lucky to have them.

It seems that lately most everyone I know is having some sort of trial in their life. Including myself. I am sure it is a sign of the times and the way the world is. It sure is difficult to be positive sometimes. But I know that we can make it through anything if we just have faith. I know that if we stick together as a family and remember why we are here. We will make it. I know I have a long way to go when it comes to doing all the things that I need to do but I know I will get there. I hope things get better for all of my family. I wish I could fix everything but if it were that easy we would not need to be here. I have to keep reminding myself of my Dad's example. Things were not easy for him, not saying that he was perfect, but he really was a good example of enduring to the end. He was a pretty positive guy for all the things he had to go through. I want to be just like him.

Well enough of that!

Brenda is starting to discover many things. She loves to play with anything with buttons and lights. She is great at turning off the TV during Mac's programs. She is only nine months but what a tease. She can get anywhere she wants to go and is getting very fast. She can not always get out of places but she can sure get into things.

Mas is doing great as always. I could not ask for a better kid. He has a hard time with his dish duty and cleaning up after himself but he is a great kid. He is so tall I hardly feel like I can call him a kid. I have to look up to talk to him. He also has a great spiritual connection. The things he understands about the gospel amaze me. It took me a lot longer, some things I am still trying to figure out. I just love him.

Hope all is well and wish everyone the best of everything!

Time for more info on the Millet clan. Things are going okay. Brenda has joined the mobile set, She is crawling all over the place. There is now a gate on the stairs. She pulled herself up to the couch the other day and I swear she looked at me and said "ha ha" She thinks she is so big.

McNeil is still loving Jr. High and is learning that it is very different from grade school. He has joined the drama club and against doctor's orders is playing football. It is almost over thank goodness! I love to watch him play but I am so afraid he is going to reinjure himself. So far so good.

Brandon is still working lots of hours and coaching football. We have changed vehicles. We are now driving a small mini van. Yeah!

I am babysitting again. I just don't know how to say no. But it is just temporary!? I think.
The kids are cute but they come at 4:30 am. Wow is that early! My house is suffering cause by 2:00 when the kids leave I am done. Hope anyone who reads this is doing well. Love you all!

Wow things can sure be boring at the Millet home. I never feel that there is much to say. I am up to my usual procrastination of my house work, however I can see the bottom of my dirty laundry cans. I know it will never be finished and that is why it is so hard to do. It is depressing. Same thing with the dishes. As soon as you get them all done somebody thinks they should eat again. I think in my worlds there will be disposable clothes and dishes. Can you imagine the environmentalists in my world!

Brenda had her first oreo the other day and thought that was pretty cool. Of course it was a Halloween oreo. Same as McNeil's first oreo. It makes for a better mess when the filling is orange. It is so fun to get to see all her firsts. She can now go from sitting to her hands and knees. She is not crawling yet but it will not be long. Man I have a lot of work to do!

McNeil is playing football against the doctors "suggestion" but they did not have enough players so Brandon and him are sacrificing for the Team. I did not really get a vote. I do like watching him play. I just hope he does not hurt his foot more. He sure does love it. In their last game he got two sacks. They lost but he played well.

Brandon is still working very hard. I am so grateful that he has a job but it is hard to watch him work so hard and be so tired. I sure do appreciate his willingness to work so hard for us. What a guy! He gets it from his parents.

Well that is all for now!

Man I am not good at this blogging thing. It has been a month since I have put anything on here. I guess I should catch up. School has started and McNeil is now in junior high. I dropped him off an the first day and asked him if he wanted me to come in with him. He said no that he would be fine. Until he looked and saw my face. Then he said "unless you want to come in" I think he thought he hurt my feelings. But I let him go in by himself. I felt like I had just dropped my baby off into a den of wolves. I cried all morning. I am such a baby. I know he is going to do great. Brenda and I are home alone now and we have a great time. We mostly just play and take naps. She has two teeth and really would like to crawl. I am not ready for that. She can get wherever she wants to go by rolling and scooting across the floor. She is growing way to fast. Pretty soon I will be dropping her off to junior high. That day will probably kill me!

Brandon has started coaching football and McNeil is playing even though the doctor suggested that he didn't. Hopefully his foot will hold up and he won't injure himself again. Brandon assures me that by taping his foot before the games he will be fine. Heres hoping! I am looking for some type of work that I can do at home. We would just like to pay off some debt and start a food storage. But I dont' want to leave my baby after waiting all this time for her. I am really enjoying her and if you saw my house you would know how much. I have not seriously cleaned since she was born. We all have clean clothes and food to eat but that is about it. She is just way to fun! I want to wish Kaitlyn well, and I hope she has a good time in college. I am so proud of her. She is awesome! I am going to sure miss her though! Good luck Kaitlyn!

Tah Tah for now!

Thursday, July 31, 2008

Hey, today is July 31st. I wish there was something more to write about but our life is pretty boring. Things don't change much. Except Brenda changes daily. She learns something new everyday she is so cute. If you growl at her she will growl back at you. She is a genius I tell ya!

Cant' wait for the next brilliant thing she does. McNeil is pretty smart too. Today He learned that if you spit into the airconditioner it will blow your spit back at you. He also learned how to clean the carpet. School really needs to start. Man I have brilliant kids! All kidding aside a love my kids with all my heart and I am so grateful to have them. I thank Heavenly Father everyday for them.

Thursday, July 24, 2008

Wow. what a day. The 24th of July, Pioneer day. A day off for some but not for most. Mom came and picked us up at about 10:30 and she watched Brenda while I took a nap. Bless her! I have not slept for a few days and she took pity on me. McNeil spent that time in Grandma's pool, and since I was napping I failed my motherly duty and he has a horribly sunburned face. At least he was wearing a shirt. He did have a good time. Melisa and the kids came over along with her mom, dad, and her sisters. It is always good to see them. They are awesome people.
we had good food and good conversation. No fireworks but that is ok by me! Well Happy Pioneer day to all of you.

Final Millet Family go-cart races

Well we are heading to Tremonton this weekend for the final Millet Family Races. Val and Becky are moving to Brigham City. It will be fun and sad at the same time. McNeil is sure going to miss the go-carts along with the rest of us. But at least we are getting out of it while everyone still has all their limbs attached. Now it is on to the next adventure for Val and Becky. McNeil is finally going to take his friend Justus with us for the weekend. He is very excited! They should have a good time. I just wish the camcorder was working so that I could film the last race. I hope Val and Becky know how much we appreciate all that they do for us. Especially for their grandkids. McNeil sure loves hanging out with Grandpa and Becky sure puts a lot of effort into those tea parties. You guys are awesome. So the go-carts will be missed but the dust and dirt in my teeth will not. Tah tah for now.

The year is 2008

This is the beginning of the Millet family blog. I have never done this before so bear with me.
We sure got a surprise last May when I thought I was getting sick from a medication I was taking for my back . On a whim I decided to buy a pregnancy test at the dollar store. Knowing full well that it was going to be negative. When it came out positive my first thought was well it came from the dollar store it probably is not accurate. I called Brandon and he advised me to go and purchase a "real one". Two more positives and a doctor visit later I still was not convinced. I kept waiting to wake up. But on January 8, we added a special little girl to our family. Brenda June Millet. We are so glad that she is here. Her older brother McNeil thinks that she is pretty neat. She really likes him too! It has been interesting getting back into the baby thing after 12 years but not as hard as I thought it would be. Brandon is still working in the garage door business and I am still at home wishing I could find a job I can do at home. We are all doing great!
